A Private Funeral

What follows are brief reflections on a very private funeral involving my physical self and my soul as the only participants in the procession. No one else is invited! Inside the casket lies a part of my soul that has recently been poisoned by the cruelty of man! There has been several of these funerals in my life and with every occurrence, a chapter in my soul’s journey is finished and is sent to the Eternal Publisher, where the stage is set for another chapter yet to be written and awaits the arrival of my soul. My soul has grown tired and I am sure it won’t be long before its remaining parts depart this world and with their departure comes liberation. My soul will be free to journey into the unknown to finish the unwritten chapters under different circumstances. With my soul’s demise, I will be lost to oblivion! It is a desirable outcome!

This particular procession is very special and has been in motion for several months and soon it will have to end so that I can lay this part of my soul to rest. I must be very careful in making sure that the burial takes place in a serene environment that is far away from the reach of man. A beautiful forest with lofty trees would be great. Combine it with a running spring, singing birds, flying butterflies, and blossoming flowers would make it ideal. In such a place I will leave a part of my soul and head back to the land of human misery, greed, arrogance, deception, and lies.

I feel compelled to ask, "What event or act makes you so hurt that it would poison a part of your whole being"? Please share it. In sharing, I hope some of the injury will be relieved. One of benefits of sharing is relief.

      Dear Ron,

I do thank you for your concern! Normally, I have no problem sharing, however, there are certain things in life that better remain private. I agree with you that sometimes it is good to share to attain relief, but not in this case. Just as in all tragedies, you have a conflict that reaches a climax and then a resolution, so is the case with this conflict and I am in the resolution phase. Very shortly there will be closure and permanence from the human side, but not from the Spiritual side--if people can only realize this aspect!

On the Spiritual level it is a lot more complex and that's the point of my expression. The past needs to be placed behind without generating the awful sentiments of hatred, anger, or revenge, yet the past and future are interlinked and unresolved issues from the past will be revisited in the future under different circumstances. From the human side, there is no going back in the sense that mistakes of the past should not be repeated.

I can only look forward and concentrate on what I must do in life and when it is time for me to check out, I will check out with a clear conscience!

I do recall reading somewhere that Dr Dahesh said that death of the soul can take place in stages. In that I mean that loss of spiritual fluids that enable us to live can be lost without the body dying. Eventually though, loss of the will to live can lead to deterioration of health.

However, I suspect that what was not stressed is that spiritual fluids can be restored when others are willing to share their own with one who has lost his. I feel that I have personally benefited from this.

In a time of stress, it is difficult to raise one's head to look at the sunshine in the sky. This sunshine can rejuvenate the soul.

      Dear Ron,

There is only one Sayyal that is responsible for life and it is called the "Main Sayyal." Once this Sayyal leaves the body, death takes place. The other Sayyals can enter the body or leave the body throughout life. In the next few days Part#2 of the Sayyals will be posted and will explain this aspect in details.

      Sincerely,

      Mounir Murad
