My Address to the Year 1978

By the Beloved and Guiding Prophet

On January 1, 1978, our Beloved and Guiding Prophet wrote his traditional ushering in of the New Year. Since then, 30 years passed us by and the state of Daheshism is not any clearer today than it had been then. The only thing that did not and will not change is our resolve to carry forward the wishes of the Divine and those of our Beloved Prophet. It is only fitting to remember what he had written on this day 30 years ago:

My address to the year 1978

O New Year! Hello to you and welcome.

The era of your predecessor had passed, for he is concealed by fate and will remain hidden until Judgment Day.

He is finished and his traces had vanished. What remains is his legacy containing all the important and sad events that had transpired.

The hope that I had in your predecessor in fulfilling my aims had failed and the worry that I felt throughout his days had exacted its toll on me and made me exhausted.

A day would be born and a day would die, in the interim, I am counting its hours and keeping track of its minutes and with hope drawing me to the edge of life in case I am able to fulfill my goals before I die.

However, the call was not answered, hope had failed, and disappointment triumphed.

Despite this, my determination did not ease and my persistence did not weaken and I relied on following my difficult path—a path full of sharp arrows and spears aiming to destroy me.

My hopes are broad, my wishes are many, my ambitions are lofty, and I have an unshakeable hope in bringing down the obstacles, destroying frustrations, and burying the barriers, then with a daring heart, steadfast soul, and unshakeable determination cross the obstacles of failure—those deep rooted obstacles with snarling and sharp fangs ready to tear me apart with its claws without mercy or pity.

I draw my assistance and power from my Maker who gave me the breath of life and I will push through with a rocket-like force to destroy all the insurmountable obstacles that block my path.

Then God will give me victory over my enemies and I will ascend to the summit of glory and dominion and spread my Mission in America and my Daheshist belief will encircle the globe.

There is no doubt that difficulties have not gone away, however, they are very feeble in frustrating my powerful will.

My dictionary does not recognize the word failure and its place within it will remain empty and this word will not be written into my book.

For this reason, day one of this New Year, I promise you that I will not lay down my arms until victory is my ally and God willing, triumph is mine.

Dahesh
